Progress report: Week 5

This week has been relatively uneventful. On Thursday I woke up utterly convinced that it was Tuesday. I guess that’s what they call momnesia.

Speaking of which, a few weeks ago I accidentally stole $5 worth of minor items at a shopping center. It really was an accident, I promise. I was going to pay for the items I had picked out, but placed them into a shopping cart under some bags, and when I had walked around the store for a little while I simply forgot I had them and left the store. I didn’t realize I had them in my cart until I was packing everything into the car, but by then I felt like it would just be too awkward to walk back in with the items I took and say “hey, sorry, I stole these, but I’mma pay now“.

On a completely different note, I’m almost done crocheting the stroller mobile. I keep changing the plan for it, but now I’m pretty sure I’m on the right track. Finding amigurumi¬†patterns for some of the things has proven to be quite difficult. I looked for a pattern for a cloud, and after many hours of searching I finally found one that looked nice, but it was written in Turkish. This gave me the idea of translating it and adding it to my website, and maybe adding a category dedicated to crocheting where I’ll post patterns and projects. Later, though. First I gotta actually finish some stuff.

When it comes to the actual weight loss progress for this week, there is none. It’s the exact same number as it was last week. I’ve read that it’s normal for weight loss to stagnate about a month in, but I’m sure it didn’t help that I had a moment of weakness and made a big pot of beef stroganoff and a lemon cake. Not a great week. I also haven’t done any real exercise so far, but I’m working on changing that now. I’m slowly getting back into yoga, and plan on going on many, many more walks. To be honest, I hate exercise. Especially running. But I guess for the sake of my health (and weight loss) I ought to do something to burn those extra calories.
